Paisly/Linen

Looks like the snow is about to fly again! I am tired of it! You would think that since I live in Minnesota I would be good at tolerating the cold and wintery weather, but no, not so much!

I met with Kristen, my stampin' up leader today and she got me all excited about being a demonstrator! She is really great and I am lucky to have her in my corner. I am getting bummed out that I don't have more time to stamp right now but after April 5th that will change for me. I am trying to decide if I will dare to do a workshop in the near future. Hopefully I will get the nerve.

I am posting another card that ended up as roadkill on the journey to design two cards for my first swap. I used cool caribean, rose red, certainly celery cardstock and the same ink colors. I used linen background stamp, and polka dots and paisley stamp set. I used a little glitter on one of the flowers too.

Where would I be without casing?

I thought I would post some of the other cards I have made lately. This one was one that I cased from Atomic Butterfly on Splitcoast. She is one of my favorites. I changed the paper and the colors. I used the designer paper from the Summer mini from 2006. Close to cocoa, bashful blue,

blush blossom cardstock. I used the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punch, the tagger's dozen stamp set and the same markers as cardstock.

The weather has been really bad here the last few days. My little car had a hard time getting around today! No fun. I am procrastinating studying again tonight. I have a few chapters to read and also a 12 page paper to get going on!
Oh, and for those of you who may view my blog but aren't familiar with the stamping world, case is an acronym for copy and steal everything or copy and share with everyone. I have heard both interpretations.

I thought I would post the other card I did for my recent swap. I can already tell that blogging

is something else I can add to the list of things I do when I don't want to study. I am bad!

I really panicked when I realized I needed to design my own cards. My brain seems to freeze when someone tells me to be creative. Kristen, the one who got me into stamping, says that

I will really grow as a stamper as a demonstrator. I am hoping so. I get so much joy from my stamping. I don't want it to become stressful. We are currently in the process of redecorating our house. My stamp room is going to be included in that process! I can't wait to post pictures of that when it is done!

Sweetie & Sweetie

I thought I would post a picture of me with my sweetie. I named my post Sweetie's Stamping because my husband always called me sweetie. Sometimes I forget my name is actually Melissa.

You will have to pardon the beer bottles in this picture. We don't take alot of pictures I there are really few that I have of us. He is very supportive of all that I do and asprire to do in my life. I don't know what I would do without him!

Well, I couldn't figure out how to get a phote to attach to my profile so I thought I would just post one for now!

To Blog or not to Blog........................

I have been sitting at my computer for so long reading other people's blogs and it suddenly occurred to me: Why not start my own blog? No, I couldn't, that is only for experienced stampers, etc, were the thoughts that came to my head. I also worried that I wouldn't have enough time given that I am working and in school right now. But then I thought, well you seem to find enough time to check everyone else's blog, so you could probably find time to do your own...

I have just become a stampin' up demonstrator. I should have done it years ago. I have recently had uncontrollable urges to be able to order my own stuff and to be able to get in on pre-orders and maybe to host a workshop or two. I also have always wanted to be in a swap. Unfortunately I have never really designed my own cards. Let's just say my middle name could be CASE, but in order to participate in my first demonstrator swap I had to design my own cards. I was very very nervous about the whole thing, but they did turn out fine and I am going to post them here to commemorate my first blog!

I have no idea what I am doing or even how to post a picture. I am hoping I will figure it out as I go along. I have learned so much from all of the stamping blogs I go to daily, and I am excited to be able to try my own blog. Well, I did figure out how to post a picture so maybe there is hope for me yet? I will be lucky if I update once a week. Well, here you have it, my first blog posting!
